Strawberry

April 6th, 2009

This post is a bit different from usual since it’s about….code. No, don’t run away, I’m not going to paste huge rolls of source here for you to drible in front of.

I’ve coded a little app for Android phones that should fall in handy for geek photographers. It’s called Strawberry and it calculates for you depth of field and hyperfocal. All you have to do is slide a few stuff, and read the ouput.

Strawberry

The application is available here and for those interessed the source code is available here. Everything is under Apache 2.0 Licence.

You might also try Romain Guy’s Shutterspeed android app which is very usefull when you want to work with long exposures in Bulb mode.
